Pollux Adventures LLC, dba Pollux Adventures (“Pollux Adventures” “we” or “us”) provides this Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) to inform you of our policies and procedures regarding the collection, use and disclosure of personal information we receive from users of  Polluxadventures.com (the “Site”).  This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on the Site. You should consult this policy regularly for any changes.


Information We Collect Directly
We may collect personal information, including  your name, address, telephone number, email address,  credit card billing information in order to provide  services, including speaking to you on the telephone, sending email, booking a Guide, reserving lodging, accommodations arranging the logistical details for your trip, to personalize your experiences while using our Services; for marketing and promotional purposes, such as sending newsletters, special offers, and promotions; to contact you about products or information we think may interest you, to better understand how users access and use our Services, both on an aggregated and individualized basis; for other research and analytical purposes; and to make product improvements to the website. In addition, your email address is collected to send you an email message confirming receipt of messages received via the Site.   


Cookies, Tracking and Information We Collect Automatically
When you visit the Site we automatically collect information about you (via cookies, log files, pixel tags, third party analytics tools, and other methods), including IP address; browser type and operating system; referring URL (or the webpage you were visiting before you came to our Site); location information; pages of our Site that you visit and the time spent on those pages; the links you click; information you search for; access times and dates, device ID or other identifier; language information; and other statistics.


Our systems do not recognize browser “do-not-track” requests.
Cookies. Like many websites, we use "cookies" to collect information. A cookie is a small data file that we transfer to your computer's hard disk for record-keeping purposes. We use session ID cookies to enable our chat service and to maintain and pickup chat conversations where they left off. These session cookies are deleted from your computer when you log off from the Site and then close your browser.


Local Storage Objects. We may use Flash Local Storage Objects (“Flash LSOs”) to store your preferences and to personalize your visit. Flash LSOs are different from browser cookies because of the amount and type of data stored. Typically, you cannot control, delete, or disable the acceptance of Flash LSOs through your web browser. Log Files  Polluxadventures.com uses log files. This includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user's movement in the aggregate, diagnose problems with our servers and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses, etc. are not linked to personally identifiable information.

Information Sharing and Disclosure
Third Party Site Service Providers. We may share personal information with third party site service providers retained to perform Site-related services (e.g., without limitation, maintenance services, database management, payment processing, web analytics and improvement of the Site's features) or to assist us in analyzing how the Site is used.
Third Party Guides, Provisioners, Transportation Providers, Lodging and Accommodations and Ski / Hiking Areas:  We may share personal information with third party guides, provisioners, transportation providers, providers of lodging and accommodation and ski and hiking resorts and areas in order to design your custom trip itinerary and facilitate and book  the details of your trip.

Google Analytics.  We use Google Analytics, a third party service provider, to help analyze how users use the Site. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information such as how often users visit the Site, what pages they visit, and what other sites they used prior to coming to the Site. We use the information we get from Google Analytics to improve our Site. Squarespace: Our website is hosted on Squarespace. Your data is stored through Squarespace’s data storage, databases and the general Squarespace application. Squarespace uses analytics tools to help us measure traffic and usage trends for our site. Intercom:  We use Intercom, Inc. (“Intercom”) to collect data for analytics purposes when you visit our website. Intercom analyzes your use of our website and tracks our relationship so that we can improve our service to you. With the help of Intercom, we can conduct statistical evaluations about the use of our website by the website visitors by using Intercom page views and the page activity logs. Compliance with Laws and Law Enforcement. Pollux Adventures cooperates with government and law enforcement officials and private parties to enforce and comply with the law. We will disclose any information about you to government or law enforcement officials or private parties as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate to respond to claims and legal process (including but not limited to subpoenas), to protect the property and rights of Pollux Adventures or a third party, to protect the safety of the public or any person, or to prevent or stop activity we may consider to be, or to pose a risk of being, illegal, unethical or legally actionable activity, or as evidence in litigation.


Business Transfers. Pollux Adventures may sell, transfer or otherwise share the personal information and other information it collects as one of its assets, in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets, or the negotiation of a merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets, or in the event of bankruptcy.  You expressly consent to such transfer, sale and/or use.
Aggregate Information and Non-Identifying Information. We may share aggregated or de-identified information with third parties for industry analysis, marketing, demographic profiling and other purposes.


Links to Other Sites
Our Site may contain links to other websites, online services or applications, including, but not limited to, the websites, services or applications of ski resorts, tourism agencies and equipment provisioners (each a "Third Party Site").
If you click on a link to a Third Party Site, you will be directed to that third party's website or online service or application.  We do not exercise control over Third Party Sites. Such Third Party Sites may place their own cookies or other files on your computer, collect data or solicit personal information from you. We encourage you to read the privacy policies or statements of Third Party Sites that you visit.


Special Information for California Consumers
California residents may request a list of certain third parties to which we have disclosed personally identifiable information about you for their own direct marketing purposes. You may make one request per calendar year. In your request, please attest to the fact that you are a California resident and provide a current California address for your response. Children
The Site is not directed to persons under 18. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with personal information without their consent, he or she should contact us at info@polluxadventures.com. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete such information from our files.
